A long absence due to a heavy heart. We had him for 10 of his 19 years, but it was time to let him go. We decided not to put our sweet boy, Milo, through medical procedures that could not guarantee success at the end. Now he rests in his favorite sunny spot, to forever watch over his family.

So very sorry for your loss and the absence of a devoted friend from your life.
I am so sorry. It is so hard to lose a pet because they get to be like children to us. I had a dog that I had had for fourteen years and lost last year and I still miss him so I understand how sad it is.

We had to put our babe down 4 years ago b/c she was deteriorating from lymphoma, awful. I understand what you're feeling to some degree.

I'm sorry to hear about your friend! We lost our cat back in December and still miss her. At least he'll be where you can visit whenever you want to.
I'm so sorry. Pets hold such a special place in our hearts. When I lost one of my cats a few years ago, well it was VERY hard. I feel for you.

Melanthia, we lost our greater swissy, Missy, last year and so a heavy heart I truly understand. A whole new garden (her old dogrun) was dedicated to her. What a wonderful long life Milo had.

Oh no, I'm so so sorry. I had wondered why you were away and now I know. So sad, but it seems like you did the right thing. I hope we'll see you tomorrow, maybe it will be at least a little cheering to chat about gardens and maybe even get some new seeds and/or plants.
This brought tears to my eyes. I'm so sorry for your loss, but also so glad your pet had a long life with a wonderful family.

I am so sorry to hear about your pet. We become so attached that they become a member of the family. I lost a little one last year and I grieved for him so bad. I'm so sorry...we had to do this in February with our girl of nearly 12 years. It's a blessing to be able to help them and do this, but it is also so difficult. Many a hug to you.
We lost our Sadie last November.
Loosing a family pet is so hard.
You look around and expect to see them and then realize how quiet and empty the place is. Good thoughts go out to you.
We had to make a decision like that when our 14 year old lab couldn't walk. Our vet wouldn't come over, but we found one who would, and he is our vet now for Heidi. He said she had been having strokes, and agreed with our decision.
