Tropical Treasures

The last couple weeks have been a whirlwind of upheaval. I first must thank everyone for the many kind words following the loss the of our big boy tabby Milo. This was followed closely by a long-awaited and perfectly timed vacation to Kauai. We returned early this morning and my brain still isn't quite firing correctly from the three-hour time change. I'll just quietly share some of the beautiful treasures that greeted us in the first few hours of arrival on the island.

There's plenty more I'll share in coming days. I must apologize for the lack of identification. I have names on some, but most of the time it was point, shoot and chase down the little guy.

Hi and welcome home~~ It sounds like you had a wonderful trip. The photos are all fabulous, especially the plumeria which I have an intense fondness for dating back to my years in Hawaii. I look forward to seeing more.

Thanks Grace. All total we took more than 700 photos, although the little guy takes up most of course. The plant life was so lovely and those warm temps didn't hurt one bit!

Welcome back, we missed you at SAGBUTT and here! Can't wait to see more from your trip. Where did you stay? We visited near Hanalei once and it's so amazing out there near the Na Pali cliffs. Did you go to that botanical garden that's kind of at the end of the road?

Melanthia, I'm glad you've had a good week! How nice to go on vacation--and to Hawaii! I guess it's a lot easier for you to get there than it is for me, here on the east coast. Some day I hope to make a trip there. I look forward to seeing your photos!
