I'll take a late bloom regardless. Of course, two of the rhododendrons haven't started blooming either and they came with the house!&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Catherine: Do you prune them back pretty hard? Is it bare in winter and then a mellower color as the leaves age? For some reason I never noticed it before, it's so visually arresting!
